You might have noticed this is no regular goth shop. Other than the obvious weirdness, we've decided to go down a different path; a more sustainable one - instead of spitting collection after collection out from Chinese factories, like most stores do.

Our shipping is now carbon-neutral!

We're now using Shopify's new Planet app to neutralise your shipping emissions and remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Carbon removal is the process of capturing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and then storing it. For example, if a truck or a plane that delivers your shipment releases 1 kg of carbon dioxide (CO2) into the atmosphere, then Shopify ensures that 1 kg of CO2 is also sucked from the atmosphere and stored away using solutions and technologies in Shopify Sustainability Fund.

There is a fast-growing and evolving sector with many carbon removal technologies in different stages of development. These technologies include nature-based solutions, such as reforestation and soil carbon sequestration and more high-tech solutions, such as direct air capture and mineralization.

We've chosen the Millenium solution of the app which makes the biggest impact, to make sure we stay as green as possible.

We use Shopify - a carbon neutral company and platform

Data centers have historically been a big source of greenhouse gas emissions. In 2018, Shopify decommissioned all of their data servers and shifted entirely to Google Cloud. Google matches 100 % of the energy consumed by Google Cloud with renewable energy, enabling Shopify to run a completely carbon-neutral platform.

In 2019, Shopify began sourcing renewable power for heating, cooling, and powering their buildings and employee home offices. They’ve procured enough green energy to account for their natural gas and electricity-related carbon footprint in Canada. For travel-related emissions, which are 5x their operational footprint, they purchase verified carbon offsets.

Haven't I seen this jacket before?

Most of our clothes are second-hand. It's hard to make it much more sustainable than that.
We've gone through a lot of second-hand stores and found all the gold, so you don't have to. You can sit comfortable at home (or at the graveyard or where you like to place your weird little popo) and buy all the clothes you want and keep a green and clear conscience.

Our products are (if possible) produced in Europe, and we always try to make them in Denmark before looking elsewhere. We actually start by checking if it's possible to produce them in Aarhus (the city where we are based) and most of the times it's actually manageable!

We also get local artists to make our designs - and right now two local artists are working on some amazing bags and awesome crochet art.

Vegan as fuck!

We're proud to say that our store is all vegan. This means we do not use any animal products like fur, leather, silk, wool etc. in our products - and don't worry, we'll stay that way!

Haven't I seen this box before?

For bigger orders we reuse cardboard boxes from other companies - and if you're awesome, you'll reuse it for a gift (or to make art or activist signs) and recycle it after use. But of course you're awesome; you're reading this!

We always try to find new ways to improve the sustainability of the shop - if you have any suggestions, feel free to contact us!
